The Seine River flows through France and is 780 km long, making it the second longest river in France after the Loire. The Seine flows through Paris, the capital of France, and its banks are lined with the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Orsay Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, and other major tourist attractions in Paris. The Seine is also the center of tourism, and sightseeing boats called bateaux-mouches operate regularly.
For the 2024 Paris Olympics, the Seine will be the site of the opening ceremony. For the first time in history, the opening ceremony, traditionally held in stadiums, will be held in the heart of Paris, on the Seine River. Delegations will travel 6 km by boat along the Seine to the finale in front of Place Trocadéro. The opening ceremony will allow Parisians and visitors to enjoy a new perspective on the beautiful scenery of the Seine and its surroundings.

2024年のパリオリンピックにおいて、セーヌ川は開会式の会場として使用される予定です。これは史上初の試みで、伝統的にスタジアムで行われてきた開会式が、パリの中心部であるセーヌ川で行われることになります。開会式では、各国の代表団がボートでセーヌ川を6km移動し、トロカデロ広場前でフィナーレを迎える予定です。この開会式により、パリの市民や訪れる観客は、セーヌ川とその周辺の美しい景色を新たな視点から楽しむことができるでしょう。
